Philip R. Love

Retired CEO, Pryor Resources, Inc.

Phil Love is the retired CEO of Pryor Resources, Inc. Before his retirement in 2000, the company was conducting about 20,000 business training seminars annually throughout North America and elsewhere. Following retirement in 2000, Phil began seminary studies at Central Baptist Theological Seminary in Shawnee, Kansas, where he earned a Master of Arts in Religious Studies. Following graduation, Phil joined the board of trustees at Central where he now serves as board chair working with President Molly Marshall.

Phil frequently leads or teaches a variety of classes in area churches, and, along with wife Patty, serves as a deacon at Country Club Christian Church in Kansas City, Missouri. Among the classes Phil has enjoyed working on and teaching is “Theology and Film,” exploring classical and contemporary themes and questions in theology as evoked in various movies.

Phil has been interested in flying and charitable aviation for many years, and serves on the board of Angel Flight Central, a non-profit organization arranging free flights for people in need, from which Phil received the “Volunteer Pilot of the Year” award in 2007. In the past, he has served on the boards of the Kansas City Association for Mental Health, the Mental Health Association in Missouri, and the advisory board of Midwest Christian Counseling Center. He is a current member of the President’s Advisory Council at Wiliam Jewell College, where he graduated in 1971 with a B.A. in Philosophy. He received an M.A. in Counseling from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1975.

Phil and Patty reside in Kansas City, Missouri, and have two married children and three grandchildren.
