On February 15-16, 2008, the Yale School of Management’s Christian Fellowship Club, in partnership with the Yale Center for Faith and Culture, hosted the third annual Believers in Business Conference in New Haven, Connecticut.
The 2008 Believers in Business Conference was a unique opportunity to promote learning and fellowship among graduate business school students of faith. Jointly hosted by the Yale School of Management’s (SOM) Christian Fellowship Club and the Yale Divinity School’s Center for Faith and Culture, the conference explored issues related to finding purpose and value in work drawing on Christian principles.
The goal of the conference was to give MBA students an opportunity to learn from and have access to business leaders who will share how they seek to integrate their faith and their work. These visiting CEOs and senior executives talk about real business issues they encounter- whether particular to their industry sector and company, or more generally as part of life in the marketplace- and how they respond. Ample time was built into the agenda to engage them and yourself both during the program and informally.
