Graham Ward is Regius Professor of Divinity at Christ Church College, the University of Oxford. He was educated at Fitzwilliam and Selwyn Colleges, Cambridge. Between 1979 and 1981 he was Tutor for English and Fitzwilliam and Girton Colleges before being ordained in 1990. He then served as Chaplain, Fellow and Tutor at Exeter College, Oxford from 1992 to 1995, Dean of Peterhouse, Cambridge from 1995 to 2000, and Samuel Fergusson Professor of Philosophical Theology at the University of Manchester from 2000 to 2012. He was then Director of the Centre for Religion and Political Culture between 2003 and 2011 and Head of the School of Arts, Histories and Cultures at the University of Manchester between 2006 and 2012.
