Walter Giles is a portfolio manager at Cannell & Spears, a registered investment advisor. Before joining Cannell & Spears in 2020, Walter was a partner at Beck Mack + Oliver for 20 years. He previously worked at WNET public television for the weekly science series INNOVATION. There, he conceived and researched the Emmy award-winning episode “To the Nth Dimension and Back” about mathematics. Walter graduated from Lehigh University in 1983 with a B.A. in Economics and as a member of the Sigma Tau Delta National English Honor Society. He has served as a trustee of the Foundation for Child Development and The Boys’ Club of New York. He and his wife Laura reside in Montclair, New Jersey and have two adult children.
